I appreciate a good cup of coffee. After being a barista for three years, I would say I am semi-coffee-snobbish. I am definitely not full coffee snob, but mostly because I still have so much to learn when it comes to coffee.
Yesterday I went and checked out the first of probably many coffee shops I will visit in Austin this next year.
This coffee shop was called Summer Moon.

It was very interesting because it was a coffee shop in a truck trailer. I have seen coffee carts before, but never anything like this. It was pretty cool to be honest. I had full intentions of working on computer work when I went, but due to the fact that it is a trailer all of the seating was outside. I would not have necessarily found this to be a problem, except that it was overcast and I was not willing to take the risk of it potentially raining. Due to these factors I have determined this would be a great place to go meet someone and have coffee and visit, maybe not the best for computer work. Despite that they do have Wi-Fi if you want to work on your computer on a nicer day, you will have to ask for the password.

Although it was overcast and the line was outside it was a hoppin place. It is located next to a church and I went on a Sunday morning, so parking was a bit funky. I am sure on other days or times it would not be so bad.
They had many different options for coffee, espresso based drinks, and tea, but I went to my go to, cold brew. I enjoyed it. I do not know that it was my favorite cold brew, but it was good. As far as I can remember I have never had nitro cold brew so that may be why I found it somewhat different. I have also never heard of wood-fired coffee, which is how it is advertised, so that could be why it seemed different from what I am used to.

Overall I had a great experience, I will go back, but like I said probably to meet someone and chat, or to grab and go. The staff were super friendly and helpful and I wished I had more time to chat with them, but there was a line. The cold brew was already prepared so my drink took almost no time at all, but from what I could tell others did not have to wait long for their drinks to be prepared.
After doing some research I have learned that this is not the only location. Most of the other locations are brick and mortar with indoor seating. So I am sure at some point I will go to another location and report back to y’all. I do appreciate that I did go to the trailer location first because I believe that it is very Austin like.
